The short version
This site is operated by Shop Your Szn, LLC ("we"). We store the preferences you set so the site works, we never see your payment details because purchases happen on the brands' own sites, and when you click out to a store, affiliate networks may set cookies so we earn a commission. That's the substance; the details follow.
What we collect
- Account details — if you sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive your name and email address from that provider, handled through our authentication provider, Supabase.
- Your preferences— your color season, selected brands, filters, and items you save to your closet, stored so they're there when you return (in your browser when signed out; with your account when signed in).
- Usage information — if we run analytics, they are aggregate and anonymous (pages viewed, features used). We do not build individual browsing profiles.
- What we never collect— payment information of any kind. All purchases happen on the brand's own website under their checkout and their privacy policy.
How we use it
To personalize the site — showing you inventory in your palette, remembering your brands and saved items — and to understand, in aggregate, which features are useful. We don't sell personal data, and we don't send marketing email unless you explicitly ask for it (there's currently nothing to sign up for).
Third parties
- Supabase hosts our database and authentication. Your account data and saved preferences live there.
- Affiliate networks — when you click through to a brand, the link may route through an affiliate network (such as Sovrn, or the network a brand belongs to), which typically sets a cookie in your browser so the resulting purchase is attributed to us. Those cookies belong to the networks and the brands, under their own policies.
- Vercel serves the website and sees standard web-server request data (IP addresses, pages requested) as any host does.
Cookies
We use them minimally: to keep you signed in and to remember site preferences. Affiliate networks may set their own cookies when you click out to a store, as described above. We don't run third-party advertising cookies on this site.
Deleting your data
Email us and we'll delete your account and everything attached to it. Signed-out preferences live only in your own browser and can be cleared like any site data. Requests go to the address on our contact page.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the effective date above.
